Born In A Manger - art

We did art of jesus being born in a stable
quote -
"Jesus took his place in a manger so that we might have a home in heaven"
Scripture -

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about : His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

what I enjoyed  - was painting the background.
what was difficult - was Cutting

How To Be Safe When On A Airplane

My favourite video of being safe in the airplane.
I like how they explained it by dancing too.

My Favourite Three Tips
1 - Stay seated and put your seatbelt on.
(We don't want to fly off the seat right?)
2 - When the breathing mask comes down put it on and breath normally
(You need oxygen to keep yourself alive)
3 - Life jackets put it on if you crashed into the sea make sure your children have them on too.
(You need to stay afloat)

These Emotions - writing

These Emotions
One night I was woken up by a terrible sound. A flash of light filled the dark sky,
as I try to sleep the thunder boomed across the sky in a matter of a moment. I yelped
and ran into my mum and dads room but……... they were not there. I tried calling
them…..no one answered. BOOM! The thunder was as loud as a explosion scaring
me more. I heard a sound tapping onto the window, as I sat in silence and in fear.
Sounds came everywhere; creaking, the chair rocking and a static noise as I hugged
myself.
_________________________________________________________________

I heard my breath Loud and clear, as I cautiously walked in. I couldn’t see a thing
my heart pounded fast. I got onto my knees and began navigating my way inside.
THUMP! My body couldn’t move I stared straight ahead not knowing what to do.
I heard a whisper 1.2.3….SURPRISE! My beloved Mother, father, sisters and my
brothers sung happy birthday. I tried speaking but I couldn’t. As tears ran down my
cheek I hugged my family, before I said “I just turned fourteen years old!”.
_________________________________________________________________
I hopped onto the bed and giggled. The sun was high in the sky; then I woke up, as
I threw my bed sheets away and rushed into the shower and said “this is going to be
a great day!”. I Did my routine that I usually do in the morning, before leaving my
house. I threw my hands up in the air “This is going to be amazing me and my friend
having to attend different class and having different teachers it's like living in a
whole new world; it’s going to be fun. As I entered the school gates, I had the biggest
smile that I could ever have.

This week we had to write paragraphs about what emotions we are trying to infer or imply without exactly telling you; show not tell. Anyways how was my punctuations? Did I use the semicolon correctly? give me feedback so I can fix my mistake and also improve them in the future.
Was it easy? - yes
What was difficult? - I say It wasn't because of describing it
What I should do to Improve at least - my Punctuation

What Is a Ngatu? (Information Report)

What I found difficult : Was writing and having more ideas

What i found easy : Was explaining a ngatu
What I should do to improve next time : have no idea?

What Is A Ngatu?
Introduction
A ngatu is tapa cloth if you don’t know what a tapa cloth is... let me explain. Tapa is from a mulberry tree know also as hiapo and atue and cloth is a cloth. These tapa cloths are made from Tonga and as passed on for generations and it is old and traditional.

Ngatu Is Special To The Tongan Culture
Since Ngatu is only made for a special occasion they are birthdays, funerals, weddings and ceremonies. Tongan women are only allowed to make this traditional item as they sing old traditional songs, during the process of making a tapa cloth/Ngatu. This is very important to the Tongan culture which it represents respect and reverence.Occasionally it is also made for blankets, mats clothes and kites. Showing children this traditional culture can last on for a generation if their children can pass on this culture. So they can express their culture or creativity to people everywhere and get people to notice their culture and to get them to try it.

How it Ngatu made.
Although making a tapa cloth can be very hard because a specific kind of tree can’t grow in New Zealand called the mulberry tree that it’s from Tonga. Since that was said and done let me explain how Ngatu is made.First thing you need to do is peel bark from the mulberry tree and hang it outside to dry after it is dried you soak it in water and then you beat it with an ike (wooden tool) after that you dry it again a type of transport and moves it to New Zealand then people over there place the ngatu on a table top and paste the edge with a gooey paste and then you carry the ngatu outside and roll it onto the Ngatu outside the concrete and dry it in the sun. they paint the Ngatu feta'aki as a brush.

My Ngatu.
I made my own tapa cloth with just rollers, paint, cardboard and a shiny type of cardboard but that somethings I can explain for another the inspiration came from books and the Tongan culture and also from my teacher because she bought it up anyways she told us to make patterns that were from the Tongan culture so we did my pattern is a flower that creates ripples and another pattern that I can’t explain.

The Tongan Vocabulary
The next that I will tell you is the Tongan vocabulary after all this will help you what these Tongan words mean and what they are so let me explain. Number one, feta’aki’: is a dried piece of beaten bark. Number two, hiapo: is the paper of the mulberry tree. Number three, ike: is a wooden tool for making a ngatu. Number four, koka’anga: the way of making ngatu. Number five, Ngatu: is another word for tapa. Number six, Faukei: the older women who are experienced in making the Ngtu.

Can Be Made YourSelf
Let explain how you can make a DIY tapa cloth. You need cardboard, scissors, roller (dry), ink, roller (use for putting on the ink), silver shiny cardboard, PVA glue, and paper. The first step you need to do is: cut out square shape (8 centimetres) then cut out a Tongan pattern you need at least two of them but a different patterns that go/suitable with each other (please use the brown cardboard first) Second step: is cut the same shape using the shiny cardboard and the shiny part has to be facing down cut two for each pattern (side note: gets a bit hard). The third step is to glue them down all with pva onto the square make sure the shiny cardboard is facing down. The fourth step is: roll the ink onto the pattern then put press the pattern onto the paper upside down (ink facing down onto paper) then you use the dry roller to press down onto the print so it is printed onto the paper. Rise and repeat this process with the other pattern.

The conclusion
To sum this all up tapa cloths are very important to the Tongan culture because use for lots of varieties such as like funerals, birthdays, weddings, ceremonies, clothing, and many other things that could’ve been said anyways this is why it signifies the Tongan culture because old and traditional that can be passed on for generations and can be made DIY with cardboard and paint.

Re - The Seven Sacraments.

Posted - Writing

For the Past few week we've been doing activities about this book
we are currently reading in our class every week I will post something
new and also this book is called posted.

Cell Phones SHOULDN'T Be Banned

WALT: Write a persuasive text

What I Found Easy: writing
What I Found Difficult: Coming up Ideas to argue cell phone should be banned
What I enjoyed: Fixing my mistakes (I think there's more)
What I Should do to improve next time: fixing my sentence and my grammar also checking
if it makes sense.
Should cellphone be banned from school?

In my Belief cell phones shouldn't be banned from school,
because it has pieces of information that give to you and everybody
around the world and it is quite helpful.

Having a phone is excellent, so you're given privileges. When you're
escorting yourself to school; you can have access to the media during
class, until you have pieces of information. Also, you can write down
notes onto your phone instead of writing into the book rather than just
copying it onto the device afterwards.

A phone is a responsibility because students are responsible enough to
take care of their items and should be aware of not cheating in class
because it can affect their learning. Phones can teach the role of
responsibility to students. Teachers and administrators should allow phones;
occasionally students don't understand the topic teachers talk about so they
find the information, so using a phone which can be helpful at times.

A phone can be a reliable and a useful matter because you will never know
if a dangerous situation arises like a school shooting if no cell phone were
allowed parents do and they lose the sense of protecting their child/children.
Some people walk to the school and also if they bus to school and parents
sometimes need to know if they are coming home safely if phones weren’t
allowed on school property their phones are at home not in their pockets.

In conclusion cell phones shouldn’t be banned from school because people
need to know if their child is safe for a situation that might occur. Also,
they get smarter every time they go on the media because they gather pieces
of information. It can also teach responsibility to take care of a phone and how
they are used appropriately for school.

The key To Happiness and freedom - writing

The Key To Happiness and freedom

Hello for the past few day we have been planning and writing a story it's about a key so we made a fictional
story about a key and what are we going to do a with it in the story my one is about this person who his lonely and antisocial
person who had a troubled past, as in like being bullied constantly and his life back then and now but he's going to change
that with a key. but he's got to go through something though.

Suddenly darkness filled up my room swallowing it piece by piece I was terrified I couldn't find the door but it already got me I was shivering it was like outside on snow without any warm clothing I began to run an abyss, feeling weak and tired I looked around once more, a child? chained, it was on his wrist I walked over to him and said “ are you stuck here?” he nodded and questioned him again “how did you get this chain on you?” he shrugged. The light faded above his head, children were playing he was on the table drawing, all of them looked at his artwork making a disgusted face then they walked away. Two sentences flew around him “You aren’t talented” “you’re not good enough” then it went inside his head I called out to him he didn’t answer I touched him but he jerked himself away,  it suddenly got colder.

I blinked he disappeared I looked around panicking and in distress something was far away I ran to it I came to… him, he looked like me when I was teenager he had more chains than the other child, he said to me “why-why...why do they treat me like a jerk TELL ME!" to do I look like I can hold my self-esteem any longer why do I have to be so antisocial!?” suddenly a bright light appeared over his head, people? It was high school people pushed him around it looked like he was bullied countless of times, he was like me back then, the light suddenly disappeared, words appeared like “you look ugly” “what's up with those pimples” “new nerd” “nerds wear glass”, I told him “NO DON’T LET YOURSELF BE OVERCOME THOSE WORDS, THEY ARE JUST WORD IGNORE THEM DON’T LET YOURSELF DOWN BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S UNFAIR BUT LATER IN THE FUTURE YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE  A GOOD LIFE!” he looked at me and smirked “no I'm not” the words dug into him like they were sharp knives “NOOO!” I said I fell onto my knees speechless. But his body did not disappear.

He looked up, and he looked like me but chains were me over him his wrist, legs, neck, arms, I looked like I was almost finished as in like going to give on life and disappear no I can’t let that happen to myself I.. I realise that the child and that teenager were me, all of those things happened and I let myself down because of that and that's why I'm stuck.. Stuck in my own world empty and dark, bright light faded in above the head of me, those memories will be stuck in my head and it cannot be erased but what I can do is change myself and stop being an antisocial freak who let everybody down and myself because being a psycho doesn't matter because I'm going to let myself shine, words appeared around me “no you are a loner” “your so anti who would want a freak like you” “ew look at him” I shouted “NO! I'M NOT A LONELY PERSON BECAUSE I KNEW THAT IT WAS MY DESIRE TO STAY IN MY ROOM, I CAN CHANGE AND MAKE FRIENDS, I LOOK BEAUTIFUL IN THE INSIDE NOT THE OUTSIDE!” each of those words disappeared as made a comment in each in one of them.

I sat down and sighed I looked at myself and smiled he handed a key and said “you can unchain me and stay in this void forever or leave by that door there” he handed me a key that unlocks a key padlock or the door lock, the door exploded in making an entry particles slowly drift down wow it was like fireworks, I chose to unlock myself he said to me “why? Why did you choose to let go of me?” he answered back “because I want to free myself from this abyss and not leave anybody including me... Me” he said to me “give me the key” I questioned “wait I thought you said if I use this key I stay here?” he proclaimed “yes I did but let's get out of here”.

I opened the door it was so bright it was almost blinding, everything was quiet I’m outside my room where’s me I looked around the house to find the other me he was nowhere to be seen, I realised that is free. Free from myself and my bedroom and I'm ready to get out and meet the world, I grabbed my car keys I looked at it, I smiled. I said wow “it’s the same key”.

The moral
Never let anybody bring you down with their nasty words and go out and make friends

if you see any mistake please comment down below so I can make improvement to this story because i'll love it
even sentences you can't understand please again tell me down below (comments) so I can make room for improvement when I make a another story.

Ps: This is fiction means not reals its made up

writing - before and after school days

before and After school days

Good morning world, what a pleasant day starting anew for another day I just love the bed as I'm rolling around I also fell off with a bone cracking sound.

My dream was about going downstairs with high heels standing tall and proud, then I missed a step I fell down hard "hooray!" mother proclaimed she also said, "I don’t have to wake you up every day!”.

We’re on the bus, we all sat down then there was silence I said hey just to break it, people started talking making my ears all ringing and rotting.

I got off the bus walking pass some people they raised their hand but What I did was unexpected, dodge the incoming hand making them shiver as they kind of dance.

Walking through the gate as two little demons try and chase me closing the other one right behind me, guess I predicted their fate.

Made my way inside the office doors grabbed the keys and opened the toilet doors, boys and girls smelled of odour making me hurl once more over.

The school bell rung letting the horror being again, listening to a story was such a myth, already yawning halfway there no offence it was kind of dreary.

The same routine every day don’t blame me, blame the leaders because I don’t think they were quite prepared.

Reading writing and maths Miss Wilton told us that, why not art and music where's the fun in that? Reading and writing is my bae but definitely not maths because he's a creature of display 1, 3, 2, 4. 4, 3, 2, 1, quite confusing for me, the number laughing at me.

a vermin he's quite annoying, disturbing others with a face of his, he's like a rat who cannot be seized but only he can be squashed by miss Wilton.

A school day is over, now the feeling was just quite exhausting waiting for the bus is such a pain making it Feel like days, months and years.

Ah, finally the bus is here got inside bus driver said hi I said nothing, not enough not many people on the bus, making me angry as I screamed "Gaaaah!"

I went home with a big sigh putting my bag on the ground, Dad came and said do your chores now I feel like a Dumbledore.

In my mind, I say please help I just want to rest for eternity. Mum said “high school is around the corner you must take care of yourself because your eager to play your game stop because you'll rot your brain.

I'm now in bed, getting ready to start anew because of every day
I feel deja vu.

for the past few week we were learning about something called a ballard its a type
of poem but in a form of a story my theme is about my life after school and before school
it's very tiring everyday really oh and also there is an, A B C D D thats the type of rhyming im going for

My Holiday - Writing

Six Days In Auckland

So we decided to go to Auckland and travel to New Plymouth because we had to why because our family wanted to go to Natcom the national conference whatever I was doing there it was to help out my friends from being eaten by children just kidding and I’ll you what happened over there.

On the first day we arrived in Auckland, a van took us to a place where you can rent cars and oh and believe me my dad had a bit of trouble since this lady thought the visa card was a credit card, ok i’ll give you a little lecture for the people who are reading this,  a credit card is when you have to pay a little extra but when you use a visa you pay the price the same since it's an ‘EFTPOS’ card am I right or wrong anyways my dad got a little help from someone because he wouldn’t hesitate it was like he was my dads lawyer do know why the lady was like “Oh no I didn’t know” I thought that was dumb, tricking my dad not happening. After that, we headed to my cousin's house 6-hour drive and that was day one so many things happened.

When the sun razes hit my face I woke up from my slumber, twenty minutes in the future we were ready to go out again we looked around the city here and there mostly in the mall but that was after what really happened is that our first stop was the playground we walked along this path while that happened I felt raindrops on my face as I looked up it rained hard, we ran back from where our car was park whilst hearing rain collide into the ground, not long we were soaked from the rain as went and sat in the car we drove around the city because the rain had stop and that was day two.

On day four and yeah I skipped a day and you know why I just forgot, now I remember we went to a museum but that’s another story anyways we went to Natcom Two words the ‘NATIONAL CONFERENCE’ we went there because we had too, my parents were there to listen to some of the talks about what happened in their lives, and other religious things they did what I did it was to help out my friends because there were other problems. children, a hundred plus but we managed how many of the friends I think about 20 or more, sorted activities for them it was fun.

In summary I say that was the funniest or all funnies because I enjoyed my stay, but Christchurch is my hometown now goodbye the Philippines, but what I mean is that why am I the only bright one there they did laugh at things I did and they were unintentional but most of all we dance yep dance but here at school he’ll never see me dance properly.

Fireworks (Onomatopoeia poem)

Fireworks
(Onomatopoeia poem)
Boom crackle pop, boom crackle pop, boom crackle pop
As they make noise high up into the sky, a small light fade into your eyes when light shine upon your face.

Whoosh fizzle bang, whoosh fizzle bang, whoosh fizzle bang
Off goes the fireworks loud as we hear, enjoying the view of fireworks fizzle into their own pattern.

Zing whistle ping, zing whistle ping, zing whistle ping
You can hear animals bark and howl as they run off into the dark as there pet owners search for them day and night.
